Spring 2019 -
While I've served on the Board of Directors of the new Havana Heritage Foundation (HHF) since the founding in September 2015, in 2018 I'd taken on the role as corrdinator for the competition for the TRAVELING GRANT FOR CUBAN ARCHITECTS. This was a project/program started under the aupices of Sir John Soane's Museum Foundation and has now been transferred to the HHF.

In Havana on March 25, 2019, we announced the new recipient Alain Leon Pavon. Alain has not traveled off the island before and will head to the UK in July for almost five weeks.

We had the good forture of spending time with Alain and the past recipients Ailyn Penton, Daniel Munoz and Joel Estevez as we were all presented to HRH Prince Charles during a reception. We spent five minutes or so with HRH discussing the Cuban's involvement with The Prince's Foundation Summer School which is the basis of their time in the UK.
